Program Director: Assaf Ben-David
Business Manager: Aharon Cohen
The carpentry workshop is run by Assaf Ben-David, an experienced professional who teaches students the practical and theoretical aspects of carpentry. The program covers all work stages, including planning, choosing suitable types of wood, adhesive materials, hardware, painting and safety regulations. The shop is equipped with all necessary tools and machinery, including a special painting area. The carpentry and metalwork shops have cooperated to produce lobby furnishings for a school building in Efrat.
Beit Haggai students also produce items for external clients, such as kitchen cabinets, closets, bookshelves, buffets and more. By performing outside work, the boys gain experience and receive remuneration for their efforts.
Sukkat Hapele: The carpentry shop invented and produced Sukkat Hapele – a puzzle game in which players ages 4 and up assemble a miniature wooden sukkah in accordance with predetermined plans. The game is suitable for kindergartens before the Tishrei holidays.
